Mare’s House residents have the regular opportunity to visit Rocking Horse Ranch, a non-profit horse rescue organization that allows individuals in recovery to benefit from communing and caring for horses.
Case management at Mare’s House helps residents develop accountability and reach self-prescribed goals, while identifying and practicing the skills necessary to transition into substance free independent living.
We focus extensively on the development of healthy boundaries and self-advocacy in order to build esteem and personal empowerment.
As a transitional living facility serving young adult women with substance abuse, disordered eating and mental health issues, our program is clinically sophisticated, while also providing the life skills support our residents need to successfully transition to independent living.
Dr. Michael Kornberg is a child and adolescent psychiatrist specializing in helping patients and families when the transition from adolescence to adulthood proves difficult.
