The Mare’s House sober lifestyle is one where women are encouraged to develop the skills and self confidence that will help them successfully meet the challenges of life, while preparing them for new opportunities. Our approach is holistic and individualized because every woman is different, and the root causes of addiction are complex and not easily addressed with a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
Mare’s House provides a safe, secure place to live while building sobriety after an in-patient or out-patient recovery program. Our sober living home is clean, comfortable, and located in the beautiful, ultra-safe community of La Jolla in San Diego, California.
Mare’s House residents live comfortably and enjoy well-appointed common areas, a full kitchen, exercise room, a peaceful backyard, outdoor space and bedrooms shared with a maximum of two residents per room.
Mare’s House is staffed by a full-time recovery advocate and a night manager to provide oversight on evenings and weekends.
To ensure our residents’ safety, we perform random sobriety checks. Our recovery advocate engages daily with our residents to assess their well-being and provide support.
Mare’s House is located in La Jolla, ranked the 6th safest community in San Diego. Our street is quiet and removed from the bustle of the city, but within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping.
